Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Ethical Approval/ Clearance document should be attached as an additional/Separate attachment file along with the original manuscript file.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • Ethical Approval/ Clearance document should be attached as an additional/Separate attachment file along with the original manuscript file.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Original Article

Research articles should present the results of an original research study. These manuscripts should describe how the research project was conducted and provide a thorough analysis of the results of the project.

Review article

A review article provides an overview of the published literature in a particular subject area.

Systematic review

This section publishes high-quality systematic reviews and meta-analyses relevant to public health, nutrition, health systems, medicine, biomedical sciences, and related disciplines.
 
Manuscripts submitted to this section should synthesize existing evidence using a rigorous and transparent methodology. Reviews must address a clearly defined research question, describe comprehensive literature search strategies, specify inclusion and exclusion criteria, document study selection procedures, assess the quality or risk of bias of included studies, and present a structured synthesis of findings.
 
Authors are strongly encouraged to follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The PRISMA checklist and flow diagram should be submitted as supplementary files where applicable.
 
Submissions must contain the following sections: Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References. Meta-analyses should include a detailed description of statistical methods and presentation of pooled estimates where appropriate.
 
All manuscripts submitted to this section undergo double-blind peer review. The editorial team reserves the right to reject submissions that do not meet accepted standards for systematic review methodology or reporting.

Scientific Report

This section publishes original scientific reports that present novel findings, observations, surveillance results, operational research outcomes, laboratory investigations, program evaluations, and other scientifically rigorous studies relevant to public health, nutrition, medicine, health systems, biomedical sciences, and related fields.
 
Scientific Reports should provide concise and accurate presentations of research findings supported by appropriate methodology and analysis. Submissions must clearly describe the study objectives, methods, results, and implications of the findings for research, policy, or practice.
 
Manuscripts should be structured as follows: Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, and References. Reports must comply with accepted ethical standards, including approval from relevant ethics review committees where applicable.
 
Studies involving human participants, biological specimens, or sensitive data must include a statement on ethical approval and informed consent. Authors are encouraged to follow relevant reporting guidelines, such as STROBE, CONSORT, CARE, or other discipline-specific standards as appropriate.
 
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review and are evaluated for scientific quality, methodological rigor, originality, relevance to the journal's scope, and contribution to knowledge in the field.

Rapid Communication

These papers communicate findings that editors believe will be interesting to many researchers, and that will likely stimulate further research in the field. Rapid Communications are usually published soon after submission to the journal, so this format is useful for scientists with results that are time sensitive (for example, those in highly competitive or quickly changing disciplines). This format often has strict length limits, so some experimental details may not be published until the authors write a full Original Research manuscript.
Many journals also refer to this type of manuscript as a Letter.

Case Studies

These articles report specific instances of interesting phenomena. A goal of Case Studies is to make other researchers aware of the possibility that a specific phenomenon might occur. This type of study is often used in medicine to report the occurrence of previously unknown or emerging pathologies.
